“Upon inspect of the construction site, I was happy to see that provisions within the HPA permit were being followed and that contractor was doing their best to keep turbidity to a minimum. I was also very pleased at the project so far, specifically how all of the old concrete bulkhead and groins had been removed and the new bulkhead and pocket beach was being created. This project benefits fish and fish habitat by removing those old structures which impacted and interrupted the littoral drift/transfer of sediment on this beach, specifically those concrete groins. With those structures gone along side with the creation of the pocket beach and nourishment with forage fish spawning sediments this shoreline will hopefully provide habitat for Surf Smelt spawning as well as juvenile salmonid migration in the nearshore. There is documented Surf Smelt spawning just to the west of the project site and again, once the shoreline has been restored it is highly likely that these forage fish will start spawning here and continue to feed everything form salmon up to killer whales in the marine food web.”

“I live on Lake Washington and have a dock that needed some repairs. I’m also a dentist by trade and in case you’re wondering why that’s relevant to my review, let me tell you. Most dentists have OCD in researching whatever they do/buy. Yes, we’re sick people but we have to be precise to do our job well. I probably spent over 30 hours talking to the 5 most reputable dock/seawall companies in WA and Seaborn stood out as the clear winner in almost every aspect (permitting, dawings, materials, cost versus material ratio, customer service, overall knowledge). Dustin Howe and his crew, including Zoe, and all the permitting people knew their stuff in and out. The materials Seaborn uses were superior to every company I research besides (arguably) one but unfortunately that company charged maybe 30% more for less guarantees. That, 2nd company also had horrible customer service and had multiple lawsuits filed against them by their customers per KC public records.
Now I could go on for paragraphs in stating that this is the only company you should use if you need a dock worked on (or seawall) but I encourage everyone to do their own research. Having said that you’ll be wasting your time or you’ll get talked into BS by one of the other sleezy salesman which I never felt with Seaborn…plain and simple, Seaborn was easily the best company when you consider price/knowledge/speed/quality. They actually talked me out of doing my seawall repairs because I still had many years to go…so I was ready to sign them another check and they specifically told me why it’s still too early to do that. Integrity goes a long way in my book.
Ya’ll are welcome for piggybacking on my research that probably made me a dock expert at the end of it haha. Never getting that time of my life back!”
— Mo M., Renton
“This company is outstanding. Great team!”
— Christian G.
“Seaborn staff did an incredible job on my dock work. Especially Andrew Taylor and his crew who were very detailed and made this a good experience for all. I would recommend Seaborn and especially Andrew to any potential customers if needed.”
— Steve B., Mercer Island
“We contracted with Seaborn for a dock on Meydenbauer Bay, Bellevue, WA. The dock is approx 120′ and will accommodate a boat up to 100’+. It includes two power pedestals of 50amp and 100amp, dock wiring for lighting, and plumbing for multiple hose bibs. Work was completed on time and within budget. They were responsive and helpful when requesting additional materials and equipment for loading onto their barge for other work outside of our contract, including haul away of debris. We had no problems with permitting/inspections/quality of construction. We have one of the best docks for large boats in the Northwest.”
